T O P I C R E V I E WDirkVery nice paper model of Apollo astronauts. Designer Ken West recreates this iconic moment in this paper model, portraying Aldrin and Armstrong on the moon's surface with Old Glory. West's painstaking research is evident in the details of the astronaut's suits and life-support equipment. A truly unique paper model of one of the greatest events in all of the human experience! Only 9$ (450 parts, over 35 pages, scale 1/4!) jjknapLooks great, but I can't imagine myself building it...GACspaceguyI agree it is amazing but not something these fat fingers could do.JonjonzillaAs an avid paper modeler I can attest to Ken's amazing talent when it comes to models. One of the great things about card modeling is that you can always reprint the item you messed up, as many times as you mess it up. I have his X-15 (also available on the above model store) and I really am amazed by the skill he has. He is currently working on a 1/12 Apollo Command Module which so far is nothing short of amazing.history in miniatureWow, very nice indeed, don't know how I missed this topic. onesmallstepBrings back memories of me borrowing a book from the library as a youngster and building OAO, Lunar Orbiter and other satellite models out of construction paper, popsicles and pipe cleaners. Nice. Now a Shuttle/ISS/Soyuz/Progress/ATV project?
